Kansans For Life Federal
PAC Endorses Mike Pompeo for the 4th Congressional District Seat

Press
Release
June 2, 2010
Today, Kansans For Life Political Action Committee
announces their endorsement for the Republican Primary in the 4th
Congressional District.
There are four Republican candidates running for the 4th
Congressional District seat. Three of these candidates are pro-life and one,
Jean Schodorf, supports abortion on demand. Of the three pro-life candidates, we
have endorsed Mike Pompeo. We urge all citizens in the 4th District
to vote for Mike Pompeo.
These are the reasons KFL PAC endorses Mike Pompeo:
- Three of the candidates openly express that they are
pro-life. They reflect the views of the people of the 4th District
in their opposition to abortion and their desire to make abortion illegal once
again. Mike Pompeo has a degree from Harvard Law School and is particularly
qualified to address the legal aspects of this issue. We feel he would be the
most effective and committed advocate for ending abortion in Kansas and in our
country.
- Of the three, Mike Pompeo has lived in Kansas and voted
in Kansas the longest in the last several years. (Wink Hartman, until
recently, was a registered voter in Florida; and Jim Anderson, until recently,
lived and voted in Indiana.)
- Of the three, Mike Pompeo has assembled the largest
grassroots support. KFL is very much into grassroots campaigns and we are
encouraged by the number of volunteers working on this campaign.
- Of the three, Mike Pompeo has the largest number of
donors (several times larger that the other Republican candidates combined).
This again shows that the people of the district are financially supporting
Pompeo.
- Of the three, Mike Pompeo is the most familiar with the
national security issues facing our country and would be working to defend and
protect the citizens of the U.S. Mike Pompeo is a graduate of West Point at
the top of his class.
- KFL PAC is very interested to see what individuals,
other PACs, Legislators, and other groups have endorsed the candidates for the
4th District. Again, the number of other endorsements of Mike
Pompeo is very impressive. The most impressive, of course, is the endorsement
from Senator Dick Kelsey, who has always been a strong supporter of the
pro-life effort and was himself a candidate for the 4th District.
(see list below)
- Members of the KFL PAC Board interviewed personally the
three pro-life candidates for this race. All were impressed with the
credentials, knowledge of the issues, and the strong pro-life position of Mike
Pompeo.
- Mike Pompeo is opposed to taxpayer funded abortions
which is part of the government health care plan.
- Of the candidates for the 4th District, Mike
Pompeo would be the strongest in opposing Raj Goyle, the Democrat challenger
for this seat. Raj Goyle supports abortion, has worked for the ACLU, and does
not reflect the values and concerns of the voters in this district.
- Responding to the concerns of the constituency is very
important to KFL PAC. Mike Pompeo has demonstrated his willingness to listen
to the people and work with them in the formulation of policies.
- Of the three pro-life candidates, Mike Pompeo has
demonstrated on several occasions his willingness to help other conservative
candidates seeking public office. It’s not just about Mike Pompeo, but about
ideals, principles, and values. Mike is willing to help others who share
those same values.
